When commuting to Americus 25 years ago I noticed this theater off the square in Butler, Georgia. At the time, it was closed and appeared to be in a serious state of disrepair. It has now been demolished.

I don’t remember this theater looking this good when I used to commute through Butler.

If memory serves me correctly, Bone was a name of a prominent family in the county. There were other businesses named Bone in Butler, Ga.

32.556978,-84.235911 This theater is likely gone. There is a building at this location with the distinctive red and yellow brick mix. Next to it is an empty lot that looks to be full of junk. Notice how the electrical service on the side of the building match up with the American Classics view from 1986.
