“Chief” was spelled out across the back of the screen and was situated on a long empty highway intersection on the edge of Quanah, at the intersection of Texas 133 Spur and Texas 285 Loop. The Chief Drive-In was opened on April 13, 1952 with Ruth Roman in “Tomorrow Is Another Day”. It was still open in 1970.
