i looked in old rapid city journals from the 70s and this drive in was playing werewolves on wheels and other greats from that time
In 1958 the owner/operator was Alex Kling. His relationship to Harvey is unknown.
Alex Kling was the father of Harvey Kling who ran the projectors as far back as I can remember, later becoming the manager and owner. When Harvery closed it I bought the screen from him. It was an all steel screen and the best constructed screen I ever came across in the years of noticing other screens around the country.
Ed Kling..have any pictures to share?
Found It!
The drive-in was located east of the town close to the intersection of US-212 & Durr Ln, Belle Fourche, SD. The drive-in is just to the east of that location on the south side of the road.
Today, it is private property. You can still see the ramps and general outline of the drive-in.
