The Cinema at Dennisport was a single screen movie theatre which opened in early-January 1970. It was twinned in the mid-1970’s. It was closed on September 25, 1986 with Robert Redford in “Legal Eagles” & Pat Morita in “The Karate Kid Part II”. It became an auto-parts store.

I remember attending the opening night. Mr. Charles ‘Bud’ Bassett was the manager.
Address: 486 Main St, Dennis Port, MA 02639. It’s now an auto parts store. I saw the teen comedy “Private School” there in 1983.
The Dennisport Cinema opened during the first week of January 1970 as a single-screener, and was twinned during the mid-1970s. It was closed on September 25, 1986 with “Legal Eagles” in Screen 1 and “The Karate Kid Part II” in Screen 2. This was truly known as “Dennisport Cinema” (not “Dennis Port”), as well as the city name.
