Taken over by Famous Players on March 8, 1970.
According to Mike Rivest’s site, the Mayfair was last owned by Famous Players, which closed it sometime around 1970.
Located at 141-145 Portland St.

Next door to the Mayfair was the Dundas Theatre. I used to go there when I was a kid for weekend matinees. I remember that it had wooden floors.
