The North Cinema opened in the late 1920’s. It had a 20 feet wide proscenium and programmes were changed three times a week. It was operated as an independent cinema throughout its life. During the war it came under enemy occupation when the German’s over-ran the island.
The North Cinema was closed around 1957.

A conversion of the Vale Mission Hall in 1929. The castlelated frontage was later removed for conversion to a car showroom.
