The Realart Theatre opened in 1938. It was one of three theatres operating in DeRidder in the 1940’s. The other two theatres were the Uptown Theatre and the Rex Theatre. The Realart Theatre was still open in 1957. It was demolished in 2003.

The Realart Theatre was once destroyed by a fire in December 1937. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1938. The Realart closed for the final time in the mid-1980s.
Was demolished in 2003.
