Ozark Theater

The Ozark Theater was opened in April 1940. As late as 1987 the Ozark Theater was open and showing movies in an old building that had been updated at some point. The bottom half of the front facade was brick and the upper half had been covered over with metal paneling. "Ozark Theater" was spelled out on the front in attached black letters. An overhang sheltered the entrance and outside ticket booth.

Chuck doggone it Motion picture theatres need a little life in them,Use to be it was Exciting to go to the movies.I have seen some drab looking theatres on CT and I guess most are Mom and pop operations, butI have seen some mom and pop theatres look pretty jazzy. But then I only worked for Plitt and GCC which I know had a few more dollars in the old days to spend on nice locations.
