The July 2, 1938 issue of Boxoffice said that the Perkins Electric Company had sold CTR equipment to three new theaters, one of which was the Cartier in Timmins.
Société de cinémas Rousson-Trudeau Ltée built the Cartier Theatre circa 1939-1941. The operating partners were Louis Rousson, Félix Henri Trudeau, J. Hector Trudel and Adélard Lévesque.
Rousson-Trudeau Ltée also opened and operated the La Salle Theatre in Kirkland Lake.
The address is 57 Montjoy St S
Here’s a recent Streetview shot of the former Cartier, now home to Timmins stalwart Don’s Pizzeria.
After it closed as a theatre, the building was the run by the Steelworkers Union and was often rented out for banquets and ceremonies.
Then and now pictures of this theatre can be seen aton this webpage (scroll down to see them):
