this appears to be the only magic theater to retain any of it’s branding after the rebranding project/

Dolby cinema was installed at this theater a few weeks ago with the release of Skyscraper.

The partnership was dissolved some time ago, with AMC solely in charge of any remaining Magic Theatre locations. Magic Johnson has nothing to do with the running of any locations that remain, so one can assume they will be re-branded to AMC. Another sub brand that Loews Cineplex used was Star Theatres in the Michigan market, those are all goners too with the re-branding.

Does anyone have any idea about what the relationship is like now between AMC and Magic Johnson, if any? With AMC dropping LOEWS and other names leftover from other chains, I wonder if Magic Johnson will be dropped too, assuming they are are allowed to do so.

One thing to note, unlike almost every other multiplex there is hardly any variation in the capacity amd screen size of the auditoriums. If you want to see a movie late in the run, this unheralded uptown theare may well provide the biggest screen on which to see it. Around 260 seats, I believe, in every one of the 12 auditoriums.
