Kino Lietuva

Opened in 1965, the Kino Lietuva was the first ‘modern’ cinema to be built and opened in Lithuania. It was later twinned, with seating provided for 983 and 88. It operated as an independent cinema, screening art house films and hosting film festivals.

Closed on 1st July 2008, it was announced in July 2008 that plans had been approved to demolish the Kino Lietuva and build a multi-functional building on the site, which will also contain a twin-screen cinema.
