The Valleyline Drive-In was a basic design drive-in that opened on 3rd December 1965 with a car capacity of 383. It was run by Wallis Cinemas before it was closed on 4th May 2003 with Jack Nicholson in “Anger Management”. It was demolished in November 2003. The site of the old theatre is now home to a hardware store, a big loss to Adelaide.
Every Wallis drive-in had the trademark white speaker poles with red mushroom cap lights and green speakers. The food from the candy bar was regarded as the some of the best fast food around. Towards the end of the drive-in’s life Wallis had reduced screenings to Sundays and Mondays during the off-peak seasons.
