Showcase Cinema de Lux Leicester

This is the second of the Cinema de Lux class of cinemas to be opened by Showcase, nearby Derby being the first. The Showcase Cinema de Lux in Leicester was designed by the architectural firm Foreign Office Architects, who won an award as Retail Architect of the Year for 2008.

Located in the Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester’s city centre which opened on 4th September 2008, the Cinema de Lux opened the following day on 5th September 2008. There is a ‘Director’s Hall’ premium auditorium which has ‘UltraLeather’ loveseats, an exclusive ‘Directors Lounge’ cocktail bar, reserved seating in auditoriums and concierge-style Elite services, a full service restaurant and bar and screens with 3D capability.
