- May 27, 2009 — Kingsway 4 breathes new life
The single screen Kingsway Cinema was opened in 1973. It was closed for expansion on January 24, 1980. It reopened as the 4-screen theatre by Consolidated Theatres on June 19, 1981. It was located in the Kingsway Plaza Shopping Center. Taken over by Carmike Cinemas and renamed Carmike Cinema 4, they closed it in 2008.
It re-opened under independent operators as the Kingsway Cinema on May 29, 2009. It was closed in May 2022.

This was mistake, I just found out the Kingsway Cinema originally opened in 1973 as a single screen theatre and expanded to 4-screens on June 19, 1981.
