A better address is 1118 Quantico Ave, Bakersfield, CA.
This puts it right on the property. The 1110 address is a separate building of the house that sits near the entrance road.
The property is still empty with only the outline, entrance/exit roads, and ramps remaining.

1110 Quantico Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93307.
The previous address was across the street AT SOMEONE’S HOUSE!
THIS points directly to the entrance road.
Please update.
Boxoffice, April 10, 1961: “J. E. Poynter … said that he and C. E. Langford and associates will open their first Star Dust Drive-In at Bakersfield about May 1.”
The site looks like an open field to me. You can still see the ramps clearly, but it is demolished.
Site is now a house.
thanks plinfesty.I wish i had the time to do several theatres and Drive-ins in my city.I enjoy looking at the newspaper ads so much. Some of these titles you wonder if they even exist any more. Thanks I for one enjoyed them.
Thanks plinfesty.
Plinfesty, Thanks for the titles. I know some of these movies are probably lost forever i enjoyed reading each one.
Shouldn’t this theatre be listed under the name DeAnza Drive-In? That was the last name the Drive-in was called, and i thought that’s how things were listed.
The Edison Drive-In opened as the Stardust Drive-In on Saturday, APril 15 with the movies ROOM AT THE TOP and TIGER BAY (with 2 cartoons).
Addresses are good too. Looks to be around 1100 Quantico Ave.
