The Victoria Theatre has been undergoing some renovations. Digital projection equipment has been installed and cosmetic upgrades such as new carpeting, painting and stage curtain repair launching it into the 21st Century!
A beautiful example of community pride and initiative. Like stepping back in time to my childhood, with prices that make family movie nights an affordable reality again.
mcnamara: Just checked out the link you posted…very nice! I wish all little towns could bring back a theatre like Blossburg PA did! Congratulations!
So nice to see this theatre become a theatre again! Must try to see it, in person, someday! Amazing that it was a feed store for 30 years!

Congrats to the Victoria!
The Victoria Theatre has been renovated and will be showing second run movies on the weekends. All of the 1965 renovations on the inside are intact and the outside has been painted and the original architectural structures are present. A website will be published in the near future.
A friend of mine has told me that friends of his bought the Victoria Theatre in Blossburg last spring and are restoring it and hope to have it open for next spring. It used to be a feed store.
Best of luck to the folks of Blossburg in bringing back an historical theatre. When finished it will be another “cinema treasure”.
The Victoria Theater has been purchased with plans to reopen after necessary renovations completed.
Here are some March 2008 photos. The related site is no longer working.
