Opened in around 1917, the Brandt Theatre was renamed Ha Ha Theatre in around 1921.

Owned by William and Sydney Volk in the 1930’s, it was renamed the Falls Theatre, operating from 1931 and into the 1940’s.

The Volk’s replaced the Falls Theatre with the Riverview Theatre (see separate page on Cinema Treasures), which is still operating on 42nd Avenue South.

The Falls was a back projection theater. The projection booth was in the back near the alley and connected to the main building by a long rectangular structure. The story is that the projection booth burned down in 1948.
