I wish to make a slight change on the above information. The Regent Theatre was only ever leased to Hoyts Theatres Ltd until 1932.It was owned by Albury Amusments Pty. Ltd. Until recent decades it was operated as an independent cinema. Now operated by Village Theatres.Seating was originally 1,374.

Hoyts built a new modern cinema in 1937(circa) in Olive Street which seated 1,168 patrons. Long closed and demolished.
