Located in the South Beach district of Staten Island. The Happyland Amusement Park was opened on June 30, 1906 and contained a vaudeville theatre. Happyland Park Theatre is listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory and continued thru the 1910’s. On May 10, 1919 a fire swept through Happyland destroying almost everything. Happyland Amusement Park was rebuilt and the Happyland Park Theatre was still listed in the 1926 edition of Film Daily Yearbook, but the amusement park had lost its popularity and was closed in 1935 and a new Boardwalk was constructed along part of the site.
