The Carver Theater is listed as operating in the 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook and possibly opened in the late-1940’s. It was still operating as an African-American theatre in 1955. It was later renamed Rosales Theater.
In 2008, the building was still standing, but unused. It was demolished in late-2017.

Unless I’m incorrect, The Carver still stands. The correct address is 1846 Singleton Blvd. The Carver later became the Rosales Theatre. The Theatre has been closed & vacant for quite a long while. It was used as a church in its' latter days…..

Update! Feb 2018.. Sad to say, standing for 70 years, this structure has now been demolished. Seen here, an inside capture not to long before it was demolished.
