Located in Merksem a northern suburb of Antwerp, near Luchtbal railway station. This cinema is notable because of its size. When it was built in 1993 it was the largest megaplex in Europe (and probably in the world) with a seating capacity of 7,992.
The largest screen seats 746 and the smallest 198. Total visitor count is about 3 million a year, which makes the megaplex the biggest (tourist) attraction of Antwerp. It was re-named Kinepolis Antwerp in 2013 and the seating capacity was slightly increased to 8,092.
