The Savoy Cinema opened in 1938 and seated 1,008 in stalls and circle levels. It was designed by architect F. Henshaw for Savoy (Andover) Ltd. It was equipped with a small stage, and the proscenium was 30 feet wide.
In the 1970’s the Savoy Cinema was twinned. By 1998, the main entrance foyer and the former stalls level had been converted into a bar and nightclub, with the 240 seat cinema remaining open in the former circle seating area, using a side door as an entrance. The Savoy Cinema closed on 8th March 2001. It became a cafe and nightclub under the name of Life. By 2019 it had been re-named Cameo & Vinyl.

The nightclub continues as the Cameo with an entrance on the left side and as the Vinyl retro club on the right side, with a platformed dining area fronting the original entrance doors. Hen nights, birthday parties with VIP booths are on offer and special events like Halloween.www.cameonightclub.co.uk/Andover
