Opened in 1951 as the Country Club Drive-In, it was operated by Lin Harrington. In July 1956 it was renamed Lone Star Drive-In. and in 1958 it was operated by Hiram Parks as a Spanish language theatre. He also operated the El Capitan Theatre, Llanos Theatre and Plains Theatre, all catering for the Spanish speaking audience and all in Lubbock, TX. It was closed May 11, 1970.

A closer address is 2212 N Interstate 27, Lubbock, TX.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right on the property. A major highway has expanded into the property since the drive-in closed.

Today, although much of the property is undeveloped, there is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
