The Bijou Picture Theatre opened in 1910. It was entered through a small shop unit on Denmark Hill and the auditorium ran parallel to Orpheus Street at the rear.
It appears to have closed in around 1914 or 1915, possibly due to the outbreak of World War I.
In 2009, the entrance is an Estate Agents and the auditorium (or at least part of it) is used by an arts shop.
