News About This Theater

Located on the corner of Millers Road/Brick Kiln Road in the Kilpauk/Purasavakkam areas of Chennai, in the Tamil Nadu state. The Mekala Talkies Cinema was open by 1958. It was a popular cinema screening family films, and was renovated in 2000.

Closed in 2006, it was announced in April 2009 that the building was to be demolished.
