Next Saturday morning the new Bijou Theater, on Fountain square, will open with an entirely new bill of motion pictures en-tertainment, The interest in this addition to the growing ranks of such houses in the Queen City centers in the established claim that the Bijou will, when visited, be found the finest house of its kind in the world. It has been remodeled and refurnished throughout, at a total cost of $30,000, and is to be operated by the Lincoln Amusement Company, with I. Libson, of Pitts-burg, Penn., as the manager. Mr. Libson, through his association with the nickel theaters in all parts of the country, is in a position to get the newest and most acceptable pictures on the market, and he will be prepared to offer weekly bills there that will astonish the devotees of moving picture entertainment in this city. From the Bijou lobby of pure white marble to the rear room that is separated from the theater and in which the machine for the pictures is operated, the new playhouse will be a dream. Inside the decorations are of ivory and gold, and nearly 2,000 incandescent lights illuminate the interior. The seats will be upholstered chairs, the same as found in the best opera houses, and the cozy auditorium will rival the neatest of modern theaters in all the appliances for comfort and enjoyment. A new process ventilating plant has also been installed, and the temperature will be in hot weather at least 20 degrees lower than that of the record on the street. The new house opens Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock, and will be operated continuously daily until 12 o'clock at night. Manager Libson says it will be his endeavor to give the finest pictures that are to be had in the world’s offering of this pleasing style of entertain-ment.
