Located in Cadoxton, near Barry. The Court Cinema became the Plaza Cinema in 1933. It had a 45 feet wide proscenium, a 12 feet deep stage and two dressing rooms. After installing CinemaScope with stereophonic sound in February 1955, it was renamed the Regal Cinema.
Later in 1955 the owners "H.D.T." were shown in press ads. (Was this Highland Development Trust named in the Kinematograph Year Book as owners of the Tivoli Cinema?)

A search of the largest local newspaper revealed the first advert for the “Court” in early 1932, and the name change to Plaza just after the rebuilt Theatre Royal opened.(The “Savoy” which still stands opposite the Theatre Royal closed as a cinema at the same time.)
