The Ruby Cinema was one of several original cinemas located in the centre of Ipoh. It was designed by Danish architect B.M. Iverson, who came to Malaya in 1928 and started his own practice in Ipoh in 1936. It was a victim of the new multiplexes, and the building is now in use as a furniture store.
