The Queen Theater along with the State Theater in Winters, was opened in the late-1920’s by H.T. Hodge who owned H&H Theatre Co. which was headquartered in Abilene Texas. H&H also had theatre holdings in Ballinger, Merkle, Midland, Odessa and Stamford.
