The Vic Theatre had just over 400 seats. It was operated by Landmark Cinemas of Canada showing first run movies. Landmark closed the Vic in February 2008. It has since reopened as an independent movie theatre.

Was this at one time called the Nootka? I seem to recall it showed the Rocky Horror Picture show at midnight.
Nope, it was called the Towne Cinema when it first opened in the mid-‘70s.
I was the manager from the re-opening Aug 11 1995 until fall 1997. We reduced seating down to 218.
