The Union Theatre opened in 1947. It closed in the 1960’s and was abandoned until 1984. Since that time it has been used for a variety of retail purposes. There is currently an effort to revitalize and renovate the theater.

This is a treasure, one of those special theaters that stand alone. I never knew Union Point even had a theater and then to discover this magnificent building. So glad they restored such a one of a kind for the town to enjoy, can’t wait to go by and see it.
There is record of another Union Theatre with existed in the late 1930s with a seating capacity of around 186.
