I don’t know a lot about the Sharon Theatre, but it was open from the late-1940’s and during the 1950’s, and was closed by the early-1970’s, possibly much earlier. It is a Quonset Hut building, with a brick Art Deco style frontage.

At the link below is the movie list for the Sharon Theatre for a week in April (probably 1949, since most of the movies listed were released in 1948):

What a week of movies! Everything from Cary Grant to the Bowery Boys and a Jimmy Wakely western. Not to mention cartoons, shorts, and newsreels. Sure you can see all those movies on TV, videos, and DVD’s today, but it sure doesn’t equal the experience of going to the movies back in those days!
Thats pretty wild that there are 87 Quonset Hut Theatres listed on C.T.
I recently drove by the Sharon Theatre for the first time in many years and uploaded some photos. I was happy to see the building is still standing and in relatively good shape considering its age. It has obviously had some use in recent years, but not sure for what purpose. The lobby looks pretty rough, but there are paint cans and other building materials inside as though somebody has recently been working to restore it.
Address is on N. Hollis Avenue behind the Sharon City Hall on East Main Street. The theatre was used as a haunted house as recent as 2011. Additional photos added credit Thom Warbington.
