The Palace Theatre is mentioned in the Arkansas Historical Society magazine but not much info. Through a really great member of CT I was able to get enough info to submit this theatre. It was located on E. 3rd Street between Main Street & Walnut Street.
The theatre was still in operation in 1950 with seating listed at 316. The entire area that the theatre was located has been leveled and is mostly parking lots.

So far the only mention of the Palace I’ve found in Boxoffice is from the May 7, 1949, issue, which said that the house had been sold to Margaret Hedgecock by R.J. Barrett.

The Palace Theatre was the African-American move theatre launched at 224 E. Third Street on April, 1, 1946 opening with the 1939 film, “Double Deal.” The Palace landed on the delinquent tax at the end of 1952 likely indicating the end of its run.
