Closed on December 9, 1962 with Bette Davis in “What Ever Happened To Baby Jane” and David Niven in “Guns Of Darkness” (unknown if extras added). It was demolished unexpectedly by a cutting torch which set sparks to the building underneath the screen tower before the building caught fire.

Opened on 4/5/1949 with “The fighting O'Flynn”. Closed in 1963. The screen caught fire while being demolished, due to a cutting torch being use to demolished the screen(sparks set the building under the screen tower on fire). The site is now a Chatham Super Market and E.J. Korvette, McCrory Variety store and Revco Drugstore.

The Town Drive-In was designed by architect Ted Rogvoy, according to an item in Boxoffice, February 25, 1950. The article is illustrated by a small rendering.

The location of this theater, by the way, is Redford, not Redrod.
