Capitol Theatre

The Capitol Theatre opened in June of 1926 and closed in 1964. The Capitol Theatre opened again as a live theater in 2005. Two years later, movies were again being shown at the Capitol Theatre.

The Capitol Theatre and Cafe is all digital and we provided support for their fundraiser. We support their marketing efforts and booking. Great theater with great food!

The website for this theatre now states “Permanently Closed.” Other news articles indicate that the building was sold to Presbyterian College in nearby Clinton, SC for use as an “ESports” facility. A more recent article says that the college has donated the building to the city of Laurens.
