The Princess Cinema launched on March 19, 1973 with Michael Todd’s “Around the World in 80 Days.” But the independent automate cinema didn’t find its original audience of family film fans and went a different route - becoming a reviled adult theater. As for its opening ad, it was “Bradenton’s Newest” but perhaps a bit of a reach with “Florida’s Most Exquisite” cinema.
