Located in Hayes, Middlesex, today a district in the west of Greater London. The Hayes Cinema was opened in early April 1913, and was operated by Charles Cushing Spaulding. It was later re-named Gem Cinema and was closed in the middle of World War I, in October 1916.
It was converted into a restaurant. In 1923, it was converted into a Baptist tabernacle. The building was later acquired by Woolworth’s and they demolished the building to build a new Woolworth’s store on the site.
