Built in 1940, to replace the 1925 State Theatre across the street, which is now part of Town Hall and the Virgina Mall.
The 1940 building has been a church for some years, known as ‘The House of Prayer’. In 2009, the building is ‘For Sale’, and I own two sets of doors from the inside of the theatre, sold to me at a church yard sale.
