Located in Cwmaman near Aberdare. The hall was originally constructed in 1892 as a miners welfare hall which included a theatre that later showed films, and in 1969 when it was known as the Welfare Hall, after Cinemascope had been fitted, the proscenium was 31 feet wide.
The old hall was gutted in 2001 and was refurbished. It is used as a community arts centre which includes a cinema/theatre equipped with Dolby sound.

The old hall was not demolished in 2001!
It was stripped almost to the shell and rebuilt internally with a new, steeper, larger balcony. I was very familiar with this hall at the time having supplied and fitted the new seating from Lino Sonego, Italy.
