This photo shows how the new stage-house was actually extended across the rear, service alleyway and into the structure of Bridgewater House. This provides a much deeper stage, enlarged production facilities and higher fly-tower. This extension was carried out in such a fashion as to externally appear not to be part of the theatre, per-se.
