There’s a pretty huge old drive in at 1374 Wasson Rd, is this the one listed here? Nothing near 2708 block looks like an old drive in.

Both Google Earth and MapQuest put the address at 1374 Wasson Rd, and not the 2700 block.
Earth Explorer has crystal clear aerial photos for 1965, showing the drive-in at the 1300 block, and nothing but empty land on the 2700 block.
From the April 23, 1962 issue of BoxOffice:
BIG SPRING, TEX. – A spectacular fire destroyed the 100-foot high screen of the Jet Drive-In on a recent Wednesday night. Police escorted about ten cars to safety before the intense heat drove spectators a block from the drive-in.
The fire broke out about 11 p.m. at the theatre, which is on the south edge of town. Manager Ike Robb said the feature had ended only a few minutes earlier. He estimated the loss at $30,000.
Is it known how the screen fire started?
Billboard, Aug. 14, 1954: “Vandals shattered the electric sign at the entrance of the Jet Drive-In Theater, Big Springs (sic), Tex. Rocks were thrown against the sign causing extensive damage.”
