A Facebook post confirms that the Palm Theatre opened its doors on December 12, 1954 with Marlon Brando in “Désirée” (unknown if extras added). The fire officially happened on September 27, 1998.

I worked at the Palm in the early 70s when I was stationed at Eglin AFB the address for Suds n Cinema/ Cinema Plus is the same as I remember for the Tringas Theater
