Grand Theatre

Opened as the Grand Opera House in 1925, became the Grand Theatre in 1935 under the Publix chain with seating given at 820.

In the mid-1960’s it was operated by Minnesota Amusement Co and later by Plitt Theatres until its closing in 1980. It has since been demolished.

I’ve heard that this house was haunted. Anyone know anything about that?

All the old movie theaters have resident spirits.

Unfortunately, the Grand theater has since been demolished, another victim of urban “renewal”.
