Silverland was a shop conversion which operated as a cinema from 1912. An unusual feature was that the screen was across the centre of the auditorium, so some of the audience saw the picture the correct way, while other sitting behind the screen saw the image in reverse.
After closing in 1915, it reverted back to shop use. In 2008, it is a ladies dress shop named Nyra.
