Another place, another time
The Murray Street Hall was opened in 1891 adjacent to Yarraville Railway Station, in this Melbourne suburb. It became the St. George’s Theatre on 28th June 1913.
The St. George’s Theatre was closed on 31st December 1959. It was converted into the U.D.C. Ballroom, which continued into the early-2000’s. In 2010, the building was converted into apartments - notes by Ken Roe
