Paramount Theatre

Originally built in 1889 as the Ascot Vale Hall. The building has a very attractive facade, with a central pediment across the centre at the top, and a series of windows, each topped with a small pediment.

It began screening films as the Ascot Vale Theatre in 1917, and was later re-named Paramount Theatre, closing as a silent cinema in 1927.

In the early-2000’s, the building was converted into a gymnasium.
