Here is a photo circa 1970:

Does anyone know what year the Daniel closed, or what their seating capacity was?
I lived in Warren 1973-1975 and saw the 1973 re-release of The Sound of Music at this theater when I was 12. I recall it had numerous holes and rips in the screen which was very distracting, but nevertheless it had that wonderful cavernous echo that you only got in the pre-war movie theaters. Was it possible that this theater was ever known as the “Downtown”? My memory could just be playing tricks on me, but I thought I recalled this theater as the “Downtown” rather than the “Daniel.”
Still open in the mid-1970s.
