The Cinema Center 8 opened on June 30 1982. Cobb Theatres built this theatre inside a former A&P Supermarket building. When the theatre opened it featured Dolby Stereo in two auditoriums and also featured a 50 games, game room.
The opening features at the Cinema were "Forced Vengence", "Tex" (In 2 Auditoriums), "Conan The Barbarian", "Porkey’s", "Last American Virgin", "On Golden Pont" and "The Thing". The theatre continued as a first run operation until Cobb opened their Hollywood 16.
The Cinema Center 8 then became a discount house. Regal took over operations on August 1, 1997 and continued as a discount house.
The Regal 8 closed on May 25, 2000. The building now houses a General Merchandise Store. Any further information on this theatre would be appreciated.

The Regal 8 became “Mike’s Merchandise” (overstocked & discount goods). The interior has been completely gutted. The only traces of the theater are the snack bar area which is now used as the cash register island for store sales.
