Apparently a year or two before demolition, in 2009, an art film used this theater for several scenes. It is titled “Raging Sun, Raging Sky” in English. There are scenes of the upper theater, the lower theater, the restrooms, the lobby, etc.
Added photo from my friend Ben Leech. His email- 1942. Originally 2,500 seats. Recently gutted and converted into a cell phone mall.
it was recently demolished, and now it’s a mall called “Plaza Teresa” , It was a very important icon in Mexico city,
