It’s the September 28, 1939 Grand Opening of the “new” Tivoli. Since the original Tivoli co-existed for three days with the “new” Tivoli, the designation was important. Of course, the theaters were only a block away from each other. Here, the new Tivoli launches with “Blondie Takes a Vacation,” a Donald Duck cartoon and a “March of Time” newsreel.
